I'm already rubbing my hands together just thinking that there's less time left until the premiere of the fifth season of Money Heist. Is there anything more entertaining than movies and robbery series?
I don't know about you, but I became very hooked on the Professor, Tokyo, Denver, Berlin, Nairobi, Rio… and all that came after.
And in a few weeks We have new chapters! Note: the first installment is coming in early September. And then another one in December.
To whet your appetite, today I'm going to tell you some of the heist movies that I liked the most. Those that I repeat from time to time because they never expire. They are always a good option for sit in front of the TV with a bowl of popcorn.
Shall I tell you what they are?
My 5 heist movies favorites: movie robberies and heists
There are many very good ones, so I assume that I'm going to leave out some wonders which should surely be on this list.
But as I want to summarize I'm going to tell you 5 heist movies that are liked for different reasons. With robbery and heist plots, with intelligent and very skillful thieves, with jewels, paintings, safes and lots of action.
And if you like the combination of cinema and jewelry, read here what are the most necklaces cool of the history of cinema.
And now, let's talk about robberies:
1. Ocean's 8 (2018)
It is the last film in the saga, with the peculiarity that It stars women… thieves!
A golden opportSingley to see divas like Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna… and more. Swindlers and thieves, each with their own specialty, who organize to steal a diamond necklace (nothing less than Cartier) valued at one hundred million dollars.
The first movie was a blast. Ocean's Eleven (2001) is unforgettable for the combination of George Clooney, Matt Damon and Brad Pitt, a cast of high-class thieves who, in addition to pulling off the heist, also won over the audience.
Then they arrived Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Ocean's Thirteen (2007), which maintained the level (although the first one is a unique gem)
And finally, this spin-off feminine which has lived up to the previous films.
2. The Thomas Crown Affair (1999)
In this case I'm going to talk to you about the version starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo, which is the most recent one I have in my memory.
Although it would be fair if I named you too the original version, from 1968, with Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway, which was titled The Thomas Crown Affair. The arguments of both are a little different, but the basis is the same in both: a robbery.
In the old version, it's about robbing a bank. In the modern version, it's about a millionaire Monet.
But the key to both films is the main character, Thomas Crown. An attractive, intelligent, deceitful and elusive millionaire. And a female character, that of the independent researcher who follow your intuition and try to hunt it down. Wonderful, both Russo and Dunaway.
3. The Italian Job (2003)
Another film with a double version. This 2003 film, starring Mark Wahlberg, Edward Norton, Charlize Theron, Donald Sutherland, and a few other familiar faces, is he remake from the film of the same name starring Michael Caine in 1969, a classic police novel.
The truth is that they are two quite different films, with one common ingredient: the unforgettable and exciting Mini chases through the streets of Italy.
In both, the core is a robbery (of course), but the developments are different. The old version has an undeniable British touch (Did you know that comedian Benny Hill appears?), with Caine as a seasoned thief, fresh out of prison.
While the most modern one has as its protagonist a young American robber who wants avenge the death of his mentor by organizing a robbery. Entertainment guaranteed.
4. The Trap (1999)
Maybe you can tell me that it is not the best robbery movie, but it is that the combination of Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones It's worth it for me to put it in this one top five staff.
That duel on the screen between two greats, the confrontation of two extraordinary people, It won me over the moment I saw the movie for the first time.
In this case they plan a robbery together, but neither of them trusts the other, so both are put to the test throughout the film.
And, like all of them, has a mythical scene: when she trains to cross a room avoiding laser beams.
5. Bonnie & Clyde (1967)
I leave the classic of classics for last. The ultimate heist movie, headed towards an (inevitable) dramatic end.
The story is true, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were a couple of American robbers with a lot of robberies behind them. escape across the country It was violent and very bloody, however it exerted a certain fascination on the public that practically raised them to the category of myth.
On screen, it was Warren Beatty and Faye Dunnaway. The final scene, although I've seen it countless times, It still gives me goosebumps.
Well these are my favorite robbery and heist movies. Can you tell me which ones you liked?
