If you have a free space on your agenda (and if you don't, do it, it's amazing), write this down: Casa Decor 2021, the great interior design event in Madrid, which is now in its 55th edition.
It is one of the most attractive plans that I have found looking for what to see or what to visit this month. You can now go visit and it will remain open until June 27.
What is Casa Decor 2021
If you like decoration and interior design, I am sure that it will not be the first year that you visit this event. Also, the talent and the amount of ideas you get is brutal.
And if you've never heard of it before, that's okay. I'll update you in a minute.
This is the most important event in the sector, where you can see proposals from both prestigious interior designers and furniture, textiles, materials, etc. and other professionals: architects, designers, landscapers, multidisciplinary artists...
All of them working in a collaborative space, on projects in which creativity and talent prevail.
To give you an idea: imagine that you enter a magnificent building (I'll tell you more about it right away, because it's important) in which the spaces have been divided. And each of these spaces is designed by an interior design professional following the latest trends.
All you are going to see are proposals with their own name. Authors and brands. The latest in the sector, gathered under one roof. You realize? A luxury.
From the first minute you realize that it is going to be an experience. And a great source of ideas if you like decoration and take care of your home in detail.
The place: the house of Tomás Allende
The location of the event is one of its keys. Throughout all its editions it has been occupying different buildings, always unique, historical buildings or buildings with architectural interest.
Well, this year's edition takes us to the Tomás Allende House, on the corner of Plaza de Canalejas and Carrera de San Jerónimo, built at the beginning of the 19th century and an example of so-called regionalist architecture.
