Have we tired of the artifice? Well, it seems so, because more and more women prefer to show ourselves as we are. The natural look is our best cover letter.
No more hiding the (supposed) imperfections to always be perfect. Now we put comfort and health first. Priorities have changed… and I love it!
I bet for spontaneity in every way.
And you?
5 clues that indicate that the natural look is what makes us feel better
This is not a one day thing. For years now we have been seeing here and there women who claim naturalness in different ways.
I suggest you follow these trends closely, because the movement for the natural look does not stop growing.
1. Your skin is what it is
Why hide freckles or scars? What have moles or skin spots done to us to bury them with layers and layers of makeup?
The reality is that normal skin is not like what we see in the photos: smooth, shiny, perfect.
Acne exists! And the pimples. Why feel obliged to have perfect skin? The truth is that every day we care less. And that's why skinimalism is sweeping as a trend in skin care.
I could not leave this example: Winnie Harlow showing off her skin with vitiligo is an inspiration. A lesson on how to turn into a brand what in the past would be seen as imperfection.
2. Gray hair? precious
The trend was already there, but with the confinement it skyrocketed, simply because many women stopped dyeing their hair... and they saw that the result was not bad at all!
So why not continue?
And it doesn't matter if you have long or short hair, they look good either way.
If the hair is strong and healthy, gray or even white can be great colors. Mind you, pamper him. From the outset, change your usual shampoo for a violet shampoo, which will prevent oxidation and prevent the hair from turning yellow.
3. Natural body
There is nothing to be ashamed of. And that is why many celebrities have begun to show themselves as they are in real life, outside of the catwalks and photocalls.
And so, we have begun to see bellies in bikinis, buttocks with their cellulite point, or bellies with stretch marks (what else can you expect, after having given birth!).
You don't have to hide what is normal.
To make us aware, a multitude of profiles have begun to appear that show the before and after (which usually means, with or without retouching).
Do you remember Inma Cuesta's anger when she was left unrecognizable after "losing a few kilos" with Photoshop?

4. Hair to the sea
Look at this image because it is what is coming: it is a recent Adidas campaign.

Does it catch your attention?
Well, if it catches your attention, take a test: look at it in a few months and it will surely seem completely normal to you. Because it is.
The message is clear, we women claim that hair exists and we want to normalize the images in which we appear without waxing. Doing so is an option, and not a social imposition.
Brands know it and that's why they join the trend.
Many celebrities have contributed to this “vindication” of hair . Madonna was (of course!) a pioneer, showing bushy armpits as early as 2014.
And since then there have been many more. Julia Roberts, Gigi Hadid, Rihanna...
In Spain, Amaia, the OT winner in 2017, did numerous poses with her legs and armpits bare, well aware that her claim resonated with women tired of complying with aesthetic standards.
5. Pretty with and without love handles
The imposed thinness has its days numbered. Gone are the days of hiding extra pounds behind baggy shirts and waistless dresses.
It is obvious that I am not referring to anything that puts health at risk, but to the "supposed" obligation to have a body of a certain size.
The fundamental thing is that each one feels comfortable with their body, including a little overweight. Luckily it is no longer striking to see curvy models on the catwalk .
